Now Accepting Volunteer applications for Summer 2024!

Volunteering at summer camp is a rewarding opportunity to show God’s love and grace to children and youth. What better way to model Christian discipleship than to work with campers as they explore their faith. During a week of camp, volunteer counselors help shape camper’s experience and guide them to make good decisions and enjoy all the Plateau has to offer.

There are three ways to volunteer during summer camp:

Camp Counselor for 1 week of camp
Camp Nurse for 1 week of camp
Counselor in Leadership Training for 1 week of camp

Counselor responsibilities include:

Care for the spiritual, emotional, and physical welfare of assigned campers
Supervise and guide campers throughout daily and evening activities, and overnight lodging
Assist in leading bible study and engaging in activities as needed
Share your personal Christian witness through testimony, word, and action

All adult counselors are required to submit background clearances before volunteering.

Camp Nurse responsibilities include:

Handle intake of camper medical information at registration
Administer camper medication
Supervise and care for campers when sick or in the event of a medical emergency

Camp Nurses must submit current license paperwork.

CILT (Camper in Leadership Training) responsibilities include:

CILTs learn leadership and responsibility through assisting with our Young Children camps.

CILT qualifications:

Completed 9^th grade and under 18 years old
Attentive and considers the needs of others
Can take direction from staff and adult volunteers
Has completed at least one week of summer camp as a camper before applying to be a CILT
Is comfortable sharing their faith and belief in Jesus with campers
