Meet the Staff
Year Round Staff
Our full time staff live on site at Pocono Plateau Camp and Retreat Center year round.
Rev. Jared Stoltzfus
Director
Jared joined our team in the Summer of 2026. Prior to becoming the Director of Pocono Plateau, Jared served as a senior pastor at St. Mark’s UMC in Mt. Joy, PA. He also served as Chair of the EPA Camp and Retreat Ministry Board and led Pocono Plateau’s Site Committee, served as pastor in three other churches, and as a youth pastor in two churches. Jared was also COO for a non-profit prison ministry. Jared has been involved with the Plateau for many years and is excited to serve as the Director.
Danny Kuhn
Operations Director
Danny joined our full-time staff after being a long-time Plateau camper and camp counselor. Danny holds a degree in Youth Ministry and Biblical Studies from Eastern University. Prior to Pocono Plateau, Danny worked as Assistant Site Manager at East Bay, a United Methodist Camp and Retreat Center in Illinois.

Emily Kuhn
Office Manager
Emily joined our team as the Office Manager in May of 2025. Emily has served in office positions for 11 years, which includes New Holland Church of the Nazarene, Kinder Haus Child Care Learning Center. She is looking forward to the opportunity to serve in this ministry alongside her family.
Rebecca Carter
Kitchen & Outdoor Education Manager
Continuing in the footsteps of her mother Jean Carter, who served as kitchen manager from 1972 to 1992, Rebecca joined our team this summer to manage the kitchen during our camp season. She is a natural fit with our camp family and stayed on to continue offering excellent hospitality through food service year round. We all appreciate her level head, calm nature, and awesome sense of humor!
Rebecca is a long time Pocono Plateau camper, summer staffer, and volunteer. She previously worked in a preschool and loves crafting! Her home church is First United Methodist of Bristol, PA.
Stephen Kuhn
Facilities Manager
Stephen Kuhn joined our team as our part time Facilities Manager in the Spring of 2026. Stephen grew up coming to Pocono Plateau when he was just a tag along in 2003, and continued coming every summer as a camper and then a counselor. Stephen attended Lock Haven University for a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal. Stephen brings a passion for camp and retreat ministry partnered with a love of all things maintenance/facilities related.
Outside of his past work experience, Stephen has been very involved in several home renovations and construction projects. Stephen met his wife, Hannah, in college, and they have a daughter named Quinn. He looks forward to finding joy in serving and maintaining the beauty of the Plateau.
Dominick Monteiro
Hospitality Manager & Waterfront Director
Dom had been with Pocono Plateau, working part-time, since 2023 and now serves as our full time Hospitality Manager. Dom oversees the waterfront and lifeguards, on site guest services, housekeeping, and general daily site needs.
Dom is a graduate of Eastern University where he studied history. We are grateful for his easy going nature, sense of humor, and willingness to jump quickly into any assignment. He has a strong faith background and has participated in several mission trips.
