Registration For Summer 2027 will open december 1st, 2026

Pocono Plateau has provided overnight summer camp for over 80 years! In recent years, we have received many inquiries from local parents asking about whether we provide day camp. We understand the need for childcare in our area has grown as the population here continues to expand. Our hope is to provide an affordable Christian day camp for local families where campers can explore outdoors, experience exciting adventures, make new friends, and learn about God through recreation and community. Parents and guardians can rest assured that the safety of our campers is our utmost priority. As an accredited camp through the American Camp Association, we follow over 300 standards and protocols meant to keep campers safe in a nurturing and supportive environment.

- Pick up at Mt. Pocono UMC: 8:30 am
- Drop-off at Mt. Pocono UMC: 4:30 pm

General Hours: 9:00am – 4:00pm

Before Care: 7:30am – 9:00am

After Care: 4:00pm – 5:30pm

Cost Information:

The cost is listed in the descriptions below for each week. Before and After care is $20 each for the week. A $10 a week discount is available for each sibling. Transportation is available for $25 each week.

Join us for our first week of Day Camp fun by enjoying all things outdoors! This exciting Day Camp opportunitiy is a great way for campers to learn about God and have some fun un the sun while doing it!

In addition to the weekly themed activities, campers will get to fish, make crafts, swim in the lake, go boating (older campers), play gaga, build sand castles, ride pedal carts, and explore unplugged in the outdoors!

Let your inner artist out with Music and Arts Mania! Campers will have more opportunities for crafts and will get to explore different musical instruments during the week. The week will end with a talent show for parents at the end of the day on Friday!

In addition to the weekly themed activities, campers will get to fish, make crafts, swim in the lake, go boating (older campers), play gaga, build sand castles, ride pedal carts, and explore unplugged in the outdoors!

Throw on your capes and get ready to learn how to be real life Super Hero’s at Super Hero Training Academy! Camper will get to design their own super hero capes and masks!

Does your child love building and science? Campers will get to flex their STEM muscles with activities like building marble races and towers, science projects, and making slime!

Space Quest week will allow campers to engage in activities related to our solar system and galaxies! Campers will build the own model rockets and we will launch them at the end of the week!

Get cooled off in the Summer heat at Water Works. Come enjoy daily water activities like, kidde pool kickball, slip-n-slides, and lauch water balloons!

Finish off the Summer competing with your fellow campers in our Pocono Plateau Day Camp Games and enjoy the fun of our final week of camp for 2027!

Typical Day Camp Daily SCHEDULE

9:30 – Morning Gathering (Welcome, Songs, Bible Discovery, Snack)

10:15 – Morning Activity Block 1

11:15 – Morning Activity Block 2

12:15 – Lunch

1:15 – Waterfront Time

2:15 – Transition/Change Clothes

2:45 – Afternoon Activity Block (Storytime for Younger Ages)

3:30 – Afternoon Snack

3:45 – Outdoor Play: Gaga, Playground, Games, 9-Square, Basketball

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

Scholarships

Pocono Plateau provides limited funding for campers whose families have need of
financial assistance. Camperships are awarded based on the availability of funds. Camper families who cannot
afford the full fee should first contact their church about scholarship support. If the camper’s family and local
church cannot cover the event cost, see below for the Financial Aid Request Form. Contact the camp office at camp@poconoplateau.org or 570-676-3665 with questions

Early Bird Discount

Overnight:

Dec 1st – Dec 31st to receive $25 off per child

Jan 1st – Jan 31st to receive $20 off per child

Feb 1st – Feb 28th to receive $15 off per child

Day Camp:

Multi-Child Discount

Households that send more than one child to summer camp are eligible for a discount. A second child receives a 2%
reduction in the fee for their event. The third child or more receives a 6% reduction in the fee for their event.
