Welcome to Pocono Plateau
Pocono
Plateau is a year-round Christian Camp and Retreat center located
on 750 acres of forest in the Pocono Mountains of Eastern Pennsylvania.
From June through August, week-long summer
camp programs are available for children and youth, facilities are
available for weekend
retreats during the non-summer months, and several staff-programmed
retreats are scheduled throughout the year. School groups may schedule
one to five day field trips during the fall and spring.
What
can I do at Pocono Plateau? Staff facilitated Adventure
Programs, including High Challenge Ropes, Cooperative High Ropes, Low
Ropes, Zip Line, and Climbing Tower are available by reservation. Other
activities seasonably available include: hiking, swimming, canoeing, boating,
volleyball, basketball, ultimate frisbee, baseball, campfires, fishing,
archery, stilts, four-square, crafts, nature and wildlife programs, playgrounds,
singing, sledding, ice skating, cross-country skiing, and much, much more...
Guest
accommodations include heated
dormitory-style lodges, carpeted meeting rooms, and open-air pavilion
and platform tents or rustic cabins on our adventure
site. Three hot meals a day are served buffet style in our Dining Hall.
Pocono Plateau is a ministry of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist church.
This camp is accredited by the American Camping Association.
