General Questions

Why do I need a password to read the journal or see the today's pictures?
Pocono Plateau is committed to the safety of your camper. Because posting up-to-date pictures allows a viewer to know who is currently at camp, only people who have registered a camper will be given a username and password. [top]
What should I do if I lost my username or password?
Please contact the Plateau office. You will need to verify that you are the parent or guardian of your child, so please have your registration confirmation on hand when you call. If you do not have this paper, we can mail you your information. [top]
Why do the journal pages (and most of the rest of this site) look bad or unformatted?
This site is written to current internet standards. Unfortunately, some older browsers cannot properly display such a site. If you are using such a browser, please consider upgrading from any of these reputable sources: Microsoft, Netscape, Opera, or Apple.
Your navigation experience will also be more enjoyable if you have javascript turned on. However, this is not necessary. [top]
Can I share my username and password with other people?
You may distribute your login information to whomever you wish. Pocono Plateau bears no responsibility for individuals who view the summer services pages, so please keep the number of people who posses this information to a minimum. As the number of people with login information goes up, so does the possibility that an unauthorized individual will gain access to the system. [top]
When will I get my username and password?
You will receive a card with all the information that you need at registration. On that card will be the website address where you can log in, and sticker with your username and password on it. [top]

Daily Journal

What kind of information can I find in the journal?
Every day, the journal will be updated with short summaries of what campers have been doing over the previous day, and what they expect to be doing in the future. This is not an exhaustive list of every camp's activities - instead, it tells the highlights of the day. [top]

Daily Photo Gallery

Why haven't I seen my camper in any of the pictures?
Pocono Plateau cannot guarantee that every camper will be shown in the daily photo gallery. While there will be many pictures takes during the week, factors such as camp activities, weather, camper availability, and the number of pictures taken all affect which campers are shown. However, we do make an effort to involve everyone equally throughout the week. [top]

Camper Email

How does my email get to my camper?
Campers do not have access to a computer at any time during the week. Instead, at noon the camper email address (mycamper@poconoplateau.org) is checked for messages by a summer staff person. The messages are printed out and delivered later in the day. [top]
How should I address my email so it will be delivered to the right person?
Please include your camper's full name, and the camp name or number in the subject of your email. For example, a camper named Jane Doe at Youth Camp should be sent email with a subject of:
Jane Doe, Youth Camp
