Hero Dash 15K, 5K, & Treasure Hunt

The 9th Annual Pocono Plateau Hero Dash Fest  

Saturday September 17, 2022  (Choose between a 15K, 5K or Treasure Hunt)       Professionally Timed

The Pocono Plateau Hero Dash 5K / 15K  races are road/trail hybrid races traveling on varied terrain including grassy paths, rocky trails, open fields and stone roads as you enjoy the beautiful lakes, creeks and wooded hills of Pocono Plateau.  Registration begins at 8:30 AM, with the 15K starting at 9:30 AM, 5K at 10:00 AM, and the Treasure Hunt at 10:00 AM.

This is a fundraising event for our "Team High Ropes Course” funding initiative.

Treasure Hunt Details:
This is a great event for runners looking to mix it up, friends to get together, and families with small children looking for fun activities.   We have five trails totaling roughly seven miles of distance.  On each trail, we are hiding boxes of treasure to find. Each person can then take one piece of treasure from the box. Detail will be provided ahead of time to help you locate it.  Those who find all of the treasure will receive a prize.  Treasure Hunt runs between 10:00 AM through 4:00 PM  This event is by donation only.  No set fee to sign up.
 

15K Race: Prizes for top M/F in each age group plus three deep prizes in age ranges (M/F <19, 20-29, 30-39, etc.)

  • Course has been professionally measured and is all gravel/road with the exception of 0.2 miles of grass
  • Scenic course around three Pocono lakes
  • Professionally timed
  • High-quality tech shirts provided if registered by the cutoff

5K Race: Prizes for top M/F in each age group plus three deep prizes in age ranges (M/F <19, 20-29, 30-39, etc.)

  • This course is a mix of trails and road, perfect for trail runners who don't mind a bit of road to give their ankles a break
  • Run around two lakes and enjoy a few challenging hills
  • Professionally timed
  • High-quality tech shirts provided if registered by the cutoff

Additional Information:

  • Great post-race food including hot dogs, smores, water, and other items.
  • Overnight lodging is available for $15 per person the night before the event (register for this with the race). Lodging can accommodate up to seven family members in one of our rustic cabins (space is limited). While cabins don't have electricity, all cabins are just a short walk to our bathhouse and outdoor lodge which has electricity. Arrival as early as 6:00 p.m with an evening campfire and snack.  A light breakfast will also be provided at 8:00 a.m. the morning of the race, so you can focus on your run/walk!  Sorry, pets not permitted overnight.
  • Other activities including our 30-foot climbing tower will be open for participants to use.
