Welcome to one of the most effective ministries to children and youth today – camp & retreat ministry! Volunteer counseling is a uniquely important part of the church’s mission and ministry. During a week of camp, campers can make significant decisions and behavior changes that could help shape their lives for the future. You can be of extreme help to that child/youth in their decision-making.
Counselor responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead campers to an understanding of God and the impact God can have on each of our lives
- Care for the spiritual, emotional, and physical welfare of the small family group of campers assigned to you
- Assist in implementing sport, recreational, nature and special activities
- Share your personal Christian witness/testimony in word, lifestyle, and action
- Remember that camper safety and welfare must be your first consideration.
All adult volunteers are required to submit background clearances before serving.
